‘Techie’, umm ‘Trekkie’ anyone?

Getting used to this technological age is certainly a challenge, as I have barely had time to adjust to my chronological one! Although I certainly feel ageless most days, at least my brain does. . .
Before I joined the Twitter world, I asked my daughter if you need a Blackberry to Tweet which of course would ensure my inability to sign up.
Actually, it would make sense that ‘Tweeties’ (for those who recall Tweety bird and Sylvester the cat ‘toons’) would want ‘blackberries’, would it not?
She assured me with a laugh that I could use the internet on my laptop, what a relief I thought; not!!
This same daughter occasionally uses my computer when she is here, and one day I called to let her know that I had saved a document, that I thought she might want to see, to the folder labelled with her name.
I told her that if she goes to her folder in her PC she should be able to see it, and then she wouldn’t need to download it twice. Made perfect sense to me, and as a Mom I do like to be helpful.
She chuckled again as she informed me that , “No Mom. It’s in your hard drive”. Really?? Too bad there isn’t a GPS to navigate cyberspace, or is there?
I learn every day that the ‘techie’ world is interesting; however, I balance my brain overload with the ‘trekkie’ outdoor world of hiking, but that belongs in a different post category 
or does it, as I recall ‘Star Trek’ days as well. . .
